1.1 Commodity Plastics
TLG supplies the grades marked Supplied by TLG as pellets and also purchases the same materials as crushed material, scrap or purge. Other resins are listed for reference; ask us about availability.
PE / Polyethylene
One of the most widely used plastics, with excellent chemical resistance and flexibility. Common in packaging film, containers and pipes.
- HDPE (High-Density Polyethylene): Strong and rigid. Used mainly for milk bottles, toys, pipes and water containers.
- LDPE (Low-Density Polyethylene): Clear and highly flexible. Used for plastic bags, cling film and soft squeeze tubes.
PP / Polypropylene
Supplied by TLG: PP TD · PP GF · PP FR
Lightweight, heat-resistant and strong in tension. Used for food storage containers, car interior parts and fibers.
PS / Polystyrene
Supplied by TLG: HIPS · GPPS · EPS
Easy to process and a good insulator. Used for disposable cups and appliance housings; in foam form (Styrofoam), it serves as cushioning.
PVC / Polyvinyl Chloride
Can be made rigid (pipes, window frames) or flexible (synthetic leather, flooring), making it a staple in construction and interiors.
SAN / AS / Styrene Acrylonitrile
Improves on PS’s chemical resistance and strength. Used for clear, rigid cosmetic containers and kitchenware.
EVA / Ethylene Vinyl Acetate
Soft and elastic like rubber. Used for shoe soles, mats and solar panel encapsulant sheets.
