R&D Center

Our lab works hand in hand with TLG’s production lines. Using four key instruments, we control specifications at every stage, from incoming raw materials to final shipment.

Need test data for a specific grade?

XRF (X-ray Fluorescence Analyzer) | Hazardous substance and composition analysis

What we do: Screen in advance for substances restricted under global regulations such as RoHS, including lead, cadmium and mercury.

Why it matters: By stopping hazardous substances at the collection and crushing stages, we ensure our resin is safe and meets global appliance and automotive standards.

MI (Melt Flow Index Tester) | Optimizing moldability

What we do: Measure the melt flow of each batch with high precision.

Why it matters: Keeping flow consistent at virgin-grade levels helps customers minimize defects in injection molding and extrusion.

IZOD Impact Tester | Verifying mechanical strength

What we do: Strike precision-machined specimens to measure the impact strength and toughness of our recycled resin.

Why it matters: Confirms the durability needed for housings and parts that face physical impact.

Spectrophotometer | Consistent appearance and color

What we do: Precisely measure color values (L*, a*, b*) and yellowness index (YI) of finished pellets and molded specimens.

Why it matters: Prevents the color variation that recycling can cause, and our data-driven control keeps every batch in the exact shade our customers require.

Global R&D network

Partnering with Polymer Asia R&D Center (Global R&D Network)

Beyond our own testing, TLG has a strategic partnership with Polymer Asia, a specialist in polymer materials, to push past the limits of recycling technology.

Access to global-standard equipment

We draw on Polymer Asia’s full range of advanced equipment for testing to international standards such as ASTM and ISO.

Advanced polymer analysis and modification

Advanced analysis helps us counter issues such as chain scission during recycling, and we co-develop optimized compounding at the molecular level and new material formulations.

Internationally recognized certification

Official test reports that meet international recycling standards such as GRS (Global Recycled Standard) and UL give global customers the confidence to bring our materials into their supply chains.
